I am an author, a father, a web developer, a school crossing guard, a home brewer, a huge Cal fan, and a soccer player and coach. I currently day-job at Wells Fargo in Community Support; that is, I enable people to give money to charity and to volunteer in their communities. My job is corporate social responsibility (CSR), and personally I think Wells Fargo is one of the world's leaders in CSR.
This site serves two purposes: First, to introduce you to my writing. Second, to give me a place to share personal items with friends and family (photos, mostly). (The latter has largely been superseded by my blog and Facebook.)
My creative writing has been published in
Thereby Hangs A Tale
The First Line
THEMA
Caesura
2009 San Francisco Writers Conference Anthology
In addition, I won the January, 2009 flash fiction contest at the Clarity of Night blog, was selected Readers' Choice in the July, 2009 flash fiction contest at the same blog, and had a third story selected for mention in a ByLine Magazine contest.
My technical articles have appeared in EE Times, Multimedia Systems Design, and Embedded Systems Development. I wrote a college football column for two years at Scout.com but opted to retire from that to pursue more creative writing.
I have completed four novel manuscripts, and I am actively seeking representation for the last of these, a young adult adventure story called Andie's Gold.
If you are looking for information about my former web development work, best to look in the portfolio section as well as my resume.
